The CPCC Dragonboat program is a great way to get active outdoors, meet new people, and work towards personal fitness goals. With the collective program goal to develop a team to compete at the Carleton Place Dragon Boat Festival in September, this program is open to both experienced and beginner paddlers/dragon boaters alike Time on water will be focused on having fun and achieving individual fitness goals while working within a team to learn the skills and technique involved in dragon boat paddling. There may also be an opportunity to compete at the Ottawa Dragonboat Festival in June.
PROGRAM DATES: May 21st - September 7th, 2024
PLEASE NOTE: The Monday session for Week #1 of programming will be moved to Tuesday, May 21st to accommodate the Victoria Day Holiday on Monday, May 20th. Practice time will remain the same (6:30PM-7:30PM)!
COST: $225 (1 session/week) OR $375 (2 sessions/week)
PROGRAM SCHEDULE: Choose Monday from 6:30 - 7:30PM OR Wednesday from 5:30-6:30PM
AGES: Participants must be 18+
GENERAL MEMBERSHIP OPT IN: Our dragon boat members can opt in to our general membership program for an additional $150 (that's a 55 % discount!). This will provide access to our club recreation equipment (touring kayaks, SUP boards, and touring canoes) during our open hours from June 5th - August 25th. See General Membership details HERE.
PLEASE NOTE - Your registration is only complete once you submit payment in full and complete our waiver & code of conduct, and concussion code of conduct (must be completed for each registered participant).
